Chicken Tikka Masala

  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 200 g plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp coffee cumin
  • 2 tbsp garam masala coffee
  • salt
  • 1 c. grated ginger
  • 3 tbsp tablespoon ghee (Indian ghee)
  • 1 bulb
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 300 ml tomato sauce
  • fresh coriander



Cut chicken breasts into large cubes and place in a baking dish. Add 100g plain yogurt, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon garam masala, ginger and salt. Mix well and leave to marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.


Cook the meat in the marinade in the oven for 20 minutes at 220°C.


Meanwhile, in a large saucepan or saucepan, sauté the chopped onion in the melted butter for a few minutes. Add chopped garlic cloves, tomato sauce and other spices. Let it simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.


When the meat is ready, put the pieces in a saucepan and pour over the rest of the natural yogurt. Adjust the seasoning if necessary and cook, covered, for about fifteen minutes.


Serve with fresh coriander leaves.
