PASTA FOR GOURMET
Serves: 4 – Prep: 10 minutes – Cook: 20-25 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) olive oil
- 450 g lean ground beef
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) tomato paste
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) Knorr Beef Broth Concentrate
- 4 servings pasta, cooked al dente
- 500 ml (2 cups) bechamel sauce with beef broth (see below)
- 1 l (4 cups) grated local cheese (Les Métayères, Comtomme, Alfred Le Fermier, Victor et Berthold, Oka, etc.)
- Salt and pepper for taste
- 750 ml (3 cups) boiling water
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) Knorr Beef Broth Concentrate
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) butter
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) flour
Training
STEP 1
For the béchamel sauce, add the concentrated knorr broth to boiling water.
2nd STEP
Melt the butter in a hot saucepan, then add the flour and continue to mix using a spatula for 1-2 minutes, time to cook the flour.
STEP 3
On low heat under the pan, with the help of a whisk, gradually introduce the cooked broth, then continue to stir until the sauce thickens. Check seasoning.
STEP 4
Preheat oven to brown.
STEP 5
In a preheated skillet, sauté the onion and bell pepper in olive oil, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove and reserve.
STEP 6
In the same pan, brown the meat for 5-6 minutes.
STEP 7
Add onion and pepper stock, tomato paste, garlic, Knorr stock concentrate. Check seasoning.
STEP 8
In a bowl, combine boiled pasta, meat, bechamel sauce and 3 cups of grated cheese.
STEP 9
Pour the mixture into a gratin dish, cover with the remaining cheese and leave to brown in the oven for a few minutes.
