Preheat oven to 220°C.

Bring pasta water to a boil with 1/2 vegetable stock cube. When water boils, add pasta. Boil them for 6 minutes.

Meanwhile, put 2 slices of smoked ham in a salad bowl and cut them into small pieces with a fork and knife.

Add 2/3 Gruyere cheese (50g) and mix well.

When the pasta is cooked, drain it. Melt the butter in the same saucepan you cooked the pasta in, put the pasta back in and mix well. Once the butter has melted, pour the pasta into a bowl and stir in the ham and cheese.

Add liquid cream, salt and pepper heavily. Mix everything and pour into a small baking dish, greased with oil.

Add the rest of the Gruyère to this mixture and bake for 15 minutes. Wait until the top is golden before removing the gratin from the oven.
