Why cauliflower? Simply because, like a banana, it gives smoothies a velvety and creamy texture, but contains less sugar and carbohydrates.
According to the Juice Press brand, a banana contains 40 calories, 10 grams of carbs, and 5 grams of sugar. Cauliflower contains only 10 calories, 2 grams of carbohydrates and 1 gram of sugar. In addition, it is rich in vitamin C.
What are cauliflower smoothie recipes?
On the palate side, cauliflower can be sweet when mixed with pineapple and ginger, for example.
There are many other smoothie recipes like strawberries and raspberries or lemon juice and peaches. You can also mix cauliflower, vanilla and cocoa.
To start, you can choose half a banana and some cauliflower. Gradually decrease the amount of bananas and increase the amount of cauliflower to get used to it. You can add raw cauliflower to your smoothie or make it ahead of time. In this case, just let it cool before mixing it to make a smoothie.
